Our Pilgrim Place launch at St Nicholas Church Wallasey 

The 'I am' sayings of Jesus in flowers. 

 To launch becoming a Pilgrim Place we are having a very special event: The 'I am' sayings of Jesus in flowers. 

This will be a series of exhibits depicting each of the seven 'I am' sayings interpreted in flowers with Bible quotes and reflections.

We will be open: Saturday, 20^th June 11.00 to 15.00. 

Sunday, 21^st June Special Service 10.00.

Monday, 22^nd to Saturday, 27^th June 13.00 to 16.30

Following the launch of Pilgrim Place, we are having a short sermon series looking at the I AM sayings of Jesus as follows:

Sunday 28th June I AM the Bread of Life

Sunday 5th July I AM the Light of the World

Sunday 12th July I AM the Good Shepherd

Sunday 19th July I AM the Resurrection

Sunday 26th July I AM the Way

Sunday 2nd August I AM the True Vine

Sunday 9th August I AM the Alpha and Omega

Pilgrim Places is part of an initiative called Faith in the North, spearheaded by Steven Cottrell, the Archbishop of York. Pilgrimage has become much more talked about in recent years. Pilgrimage also describes how many Christians see and describe their faith, as a continuing journey. Early Christians were described as people on or of the Way.

Pilgrimage is not necessarily a physical walk but a journey through the twists and turns of life. For Christians it can also be a spiritual or inner journey of discovery, more about God and his love for us, shown through Jesus Christ. This kind of pilgrimage can happen through prayer, meditation or using music, art or the written word to stimulate our senses.
